Hekate (Hecate) Necklace in Golden Obsidian (Adjustable): Greek Goddess of Magic, Witchcraft
This adjustable Hekate prayer bead necklace consists of four sets of twelve beads each. Hanging from the string is a pendant, a symbol representing the goddess: the key. Hekate is often depicted holding a key, as is fitting for both her role as a psychopomp who travels to the underworld, and her role as guardian of the entryway to the home.
The necklace is made from 6mm golden obsidian gemstone beads separated by silver-toned metal divider beads and glass seed beads to provide a comfortable transition from one bead to the next and to make the piece lightweight, supple and easy to handle. It is approximately 16.25 inches (41.3cm) long with a 3-inch (7.6cm) chain to adjust for size and fit; it adjusts from 16.25-19.25 inches (41.3-48.9cm) in length, and can be worn tightly as a choker or loosely to fall at the collarbone.
The necklace is designed to be worn and used in prayer or meditation, but may also be used to decorate an altar or shrine, or to adorn a statue.
The beads come with a prayer to Hekate, and with a cotton muslin bag for storage.
You can, of course, use the beads with any prayers, or for any god or gods, that you choose or that resonate with you.
