This set of Medb (Maeve) prayer beads consists of three groups of nine beads, representing the three realms of earth, sea and sky. Separating these sections are three hanging pendants, each a symbol representing the goddess:

Crown - Medb, as a goddess of sovereignty, is well represented by the crown.

Heart - The heart is a reminder of Medb's rule of the realm of passion and love.

Cup - Medb is a goddess of intoxication whose name is related to the word "mead".

It is made with 10mm rose-colored fire-polished Czech glass beads, separated by gold-toned metal spacer beads, and glass seed beads to provide a comfortable transition from one bead to the next and to make the piece lightweight, supple, and easy to handle. The string itself is approximately 28.5" (63.5cm) in circumference and can be slipped over the head and worn if desired (keep in mind that there is no clasp, so if you plan to wear it, make sure a 28.5" loop will fit easily over your head), although it is designed to be used in prayer and meditation, to decorate an altar or shrine, and/or to adorn a statue.

The beads come with a prayer to Medb, written specifically to be used with this prayer bead design (you can, of course, use the beads with any prayers, or for any god or gods, that you choose or that resonate with you) and with a cotton muslin bag for storage.
